AI artist aratama 璞 has been confirmed to make his first VJ appearance using AI-generated works at the immersive audiovisual event “Hypergeek #14,” taking place on Sunday, February 1, 2026. The performance will be held at TUNNEL TOKYO, an immersive space equipped with a massive 3×20m LED screen.

This appearance marks aratama 璞’s first VJ-style performance, expanding his ongoing AI-based creative production and research into a live, spatial context.

An Experimental Platform Where Art, Technology, and Community Intersect as Equals

Hypergeek is an audiovisual event series built around the concept of “agitation and fermentation,” where art, technology, and community intersect without hierarchy.

Now in its 14th edition, the event will take place at TUNNEL TOKYO, an immersive creative venue featuring large-scale LED visuals and spatial audio.

At Hypergeek, there is no concept of “guests.”
The performers on stage, the participants on the floor, and the engineers who build and operate the system—
everyone present functions as an equal material composing the space itself.

Hackmarkt × aratama 璞 A First Challenge in AI-Based VJ Performance

At this event, aratama 璞 will perform under a collaborative format with Hackmarkt.

For this performance, he will utilize a body of AI-generated works developed through ongoing production and research, stepping onto the stage as a VJ for the first time.

By synchronizing generative AI visuals with DJ and live sets and deploying them within the physical scale of a 3×20m LED screen, the performance presents a real-time visual experience where AI systems and human sensibility intersect.

For aratama 璞, whose practice is guided by a vision of supersensory evolution through human augmentation, this performance represents a critical step in expanding AI expression from “works” into “situations” and “spaces.”
